Xbox 360 Softmod Update

Well here is a little update on my progress of softmodding my Xbox 360. After about 12 different USB thumb drives I have found out that you can not softmod with a USB drive because Microsoft had made the USB port read only so you can not load the exploit on the USB drive. I also received my game MechAssault today which is one of 3 games that are needed to load the exploit and what the hell do you know they sent me the wrong damn one. They listed it as the MechAssault original and I get the Platinum version which will not work. I emailed them and asked then what the hell but I get no reply..go figure. I then do some more searching and found another one and this time I email the guy and asked it it was the platinum version and also if it had a certain number on the disk which it did so it is the game I need so I bought it and it will ship today so I now have one of the games that I need. I also purchased a memory card because of the usb not working you have to have a way to load the exploit so the memory card will do it. I also had to order a cable to be able to read the memory card on my MAC and that is how you load the exploit on to the memory card. So if all goes well I will have all that I need sometime next week and then I can give this another try. So far I have spent around $55.00 but it will be all worth it if the softmodding works. I will post the outcome of the softmodding when I get it done.

    You can your use a usb drive to softmod. you just need the right programs. I only spend like 20 bucks and mine is softmodded so good luck dude
